About Elizabeth Winterbottom
Welcome > Agent Info > About Elizabeth Winterbottom ...

Meet Elizabeth Winterbottom

Professional: Prior to joining Keller Williams Realty Premier Properties in Summit and Short Hills, I worked for Burgdorff Realtors for eight years (before that a global institutional money management firm). I was the only agent to ever be awarded Burgdorff's prestigious Rising Star Award two years in a row and was on the President's Council. This was due to my dedication, professionalism and very high sales production in the following towns: Short Hills, Millburn, Maplewood, South Orange, Summit, Madison, Chatham, Westfield. Call or email me to set up an area tour or to see some of our wonderful homes.

Personal: I am a native of Summit and a graduate of Dartmouth College, Hanover NH. I have worked and resided in Millburn-Short Hills since moving back to this area from San Francisco in 1998. I have a first-hand knowledge of all the local school systems. This is important to you as the quality of the area schools directly affects property values, this information has proved to be incredibly valuable to my clients. My husband and I have four children and a black lab, Desmond. I have tremendous energy and am an active member in the community.

Philosophy: My goal: work with you from start to finish to ensure that the process of completing your real estate transaction is both successful and as stress free. I never forget that buying a home is the largest purchase most people will ever make. Once I ascertain your needs, I will help you complete your transaction smoothly while saving you as much time and money as possible. This level of service, in spite of today's complexities, requires the utmost in professionalism, knowledge, dedication and confidentiality. My satisfaction comes from clients who have found a place to call home as a direct result of my hard work and positive attitude. Embracing these attributes as a realtor is why my clients come back to me with repeat business and also refer me to their family and friends and neighbors. The towns I specialize in are: Short Hills, Millburn, Maplewood, South Orange, Summit, Madison, Chatham and Westfield (and the New Jersey shore).

I know the art & science of buying and selling homes.

Contact me today…I look forward to helping you find a wonderful home.

Real Estate Tips
Pricing >Strategic Pricing

When you decide to sell your home, your next decision is key to the sale--"How much should I ask?" If you ask too little for your home, you could potentially lose money. Asking too much for your home could cause it to sit on the market for a long time.

Your real estate agent wants to sell your home as soon as possible, for the best price. The agent will use a Competitive Market Analysis to determine the price for your home. The sales professional may advise you to reduce the asking price if buyers fail to surface after a certain period of time on the market.

If you are serious about selling your home, you should take your real estate agent's advice. In case the first price reduction doesn't generate a buyer, another reduction may be necessary. The monetary value of a house is only what someone is willing to pay for it, but if the market analysis is done correctly, you will get the maximum amount--and a timely sale.
